Free AI Caption Generator is operated by SaaS Cloud LLC, a Wyoming, USA company. This page explains the limited data we use to improve the Free Plan and how the editor keeps your project files on your device.
Free Plan and local projects
The Free Plan is built to make caption creation available at no cost. Its core workflow is designed to run in your browser, so your source video or audio, uploaded images, transcript, captions, SRT files, subject masks, styling choices, and exports stay on your device. We do not require an account or a forced upload to create captions.
You control any files you download or save locally. Clearing your browser data or removing local files may remove locally stored project information.
Limited measurement and visitor analytics
To understand how useful the Free Plan is and how we can improve it, we use limited website and product-usage measurement. For a completed export, the app may generate a random event ID. This ID is used for that event, not to recognise you across visits or build a profile of you.
The only exact information we collect from an uploaded project file is its exact video or audio duration. Our normal Free Plan workflow and this measurement do not upload or give us access to your video, audio, images, captions, transcripts, SRT files, exports, or filenames.
We also use Google Analytics, managed through Google Tag Manager, for limited visitor analytics. We use these measurements to understand site performance, improve the Free Plan, detect reliability issues, and learn which parts of the site are useful. Visitor analytics is separate from the project files you use in the editor.
Google may process analytics data under its own policies. You can control cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings and, where available, Google’s privacy controls.
Information you choose to send us
If you contact support, we receive the information in your message, including your email address and any files or details you decide to attach. Please do not send sensitive personal information, private videos, or credentials unless it is necessary for your request.
How we use and share information
We use visitor analytics and support communications to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information. We may use service providers, including Google for analytics infrastructure, and disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention and security
Local editor files remain on your device until you remove them. We retain support messages and visitor data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, subject to applicable law and provider retention settings.
Age restriction
This service is not for minors. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority required where you live if higher, to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.
Your choices and questions
You may ask about the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy concern by contacting us. Rights can vary by location; our GDPR information page provides additional information for people in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
